Boston

The Fabricator is a high energy, solutions oriented builder of custom signs, displays and elaborate sculptural elements. This individual will use a variety of fabrication techniques including (but not limited to) cutting, bending, welding, adhering materials to one another using an assortment of bonds and preparing the materials for the Paint department.

All of our work is schedule driven; the ideal candidate must have a strong work ethic and be able to manage time and multiple priorities effectively while working in a highly collaborative environment. The ability to find solutions through positive attitude, taking direction and flexibility is essential. Stellar capacity to focus on the task at hand and a demonstrated ability to mentor/work with others effectively will also be required.

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • Experience in metal (aluminum preferred) fabrication, welding and/or carpentry/high end finishes
  • Degree/training in sculpture or other art medium highly desired
  • Skilled with power and hand tools and able to read blueprints/shop drawings
  • Strong and able bodied
  • High levels of intelligence, creativity, attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Sense of humor
  • Superb communication skills; both written and verbal

The (PE) Professional Engineer is a graduate of a Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering or similar college program who has passed the PE exam and is licensed. All of our work is schedule driven. This individual must be able to manage time and multiple priorities effectively while working in a creative team environment. The ability to speak more than one language and a willingness to travel would be added advantages.

Responsibilities include:

  • Design Engineering - troubleshooting issues of client's designs to solve problems related to electrical/mechanical/fabrication/installation processes, or types and properties of materials including aluminum, steel, glass, plastics, etc.
  • Customer support - value engineering and design solutions through client consult
  • Manufacturing support - research, analysis, solutions, shop drawings, testing and documentation, design for manufacture

Qualifications include:

  • Familiarity with wind/snow/ice/seismic load calculations
  • Knowledge of foundation design
  • Superb inter-personal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, both written and verbal, with clients, co-workers, and all related trades
  • High energy, passion for excellence

Requirements:

  • Professional Engineer (PE) License; preferably Massachusetts, New York or Florida
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Structural or Architectural Engineering from an ABET accredited university
  • Proven track record of coming to creative results
  • Experience working within the construction industry designing aluminum, steel and concrete structures including foundations
  • Working experience with AutoCAD (3D preferred) and MathCad
  • Knowledgeable about structural design software use and limitations
  • Structural experience highly preferred
  • Sense of humor
  • Superb communication skills; both written and verbal

Creative Technologies is a new and rapidly expanding area of Design Communications that works in collaboration with renowned architects and designers to engineer, prototype, program, build, and install permanently integrated digital media installations. This interdisciplinary department spans new media, electrical engineering, industrial design, computer science, AV integration, specialty fabrication, architecture, and content development.

Orlando

The Design Engineer is a highly creative, solutions oriented, intelligent Industrial Design or Product Design professional with stellar CAD skills and creativity to spare.

The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to use creative solutions using cutting-edge technology and a lot of imagination to turn high-end concepts into reality. This is not a product/graphic design job; it is a position that requires a solutions oriented engineering approach. You will be using your knowledge to faithfully interpret already established design criteria that will be provided by architects and outside design firms to troubleshoot and engineer client designs.

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • A passion for engineering and contributing to the building of innovative designs!
  • Experience in custom architectural details, high-end commercial or residential millwork, custom signage or related industry
  • Training in Architecture, Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering or similar field

The (PM) Project Manager is high energy, responsible and extremely organized. The PM manages client expectations while ensuring timely completion of all project deliverables within budget. This individual must have a strong work ethic and be able to manage time and multiple priorities effectively while working in a highly collaborative environment.
